Rally

Rally is a fast racing game where players try to be the first to reach the end of the Race bar and win the game. Players drive from place to place all over the country to get Race and Rally points which they can use to refine their cars. Along the way players sometimes need to draw Rally cards. Some are lucky and get extra points while others lose some instead.

Rally is for 2-5 players, age 8 and older. The game rules, and all card texts, are both in Icelandic and English.

60 Rally cards, risk cards - 8,7 x 5,7 cm.

GAME BOARD
The game board shows various Icelandic towns that players race between in order to get Race points and win the game. The Race bar is on the edge of the game board and when players get Race points they get closer to the finish line. Between the cities players move their cars on the squares, according to their cars movement. When a player gets to the location shown on their Race cards, they hand in the card, get Race and Rally points as shown on the card + any bonus points received. The player draws a new card (new destination) and his turn ends. As the players collect more Rally points they can buy better upgrades, making their cars get quicker between locations and there fore speeding up the game, and in the end there is usually a close call who will win the race!

THE RACE CARS
All players get their own race cars. Each car has a basic movement number, showing how many squares the car can go in each round, and a points number, showing how many bonus Rally points the player receives when handing in Race cards.No two cars as the same; some go faster while others go slower but receive more bonus points.Upgrades make the cars go faster or enter areas not passable without the upgrade. When they buy upgrades, the car goes faster and the game accelerates.

THE RACE CARDS
In the beginning of the game, each player receives two Race cards. These are the first locations players need to go to in order to get points. When players reach the location shown on the card, like Reykjavik on the card to the left, they get Race and Rally points as shown on the card. Race points moves the players closer to the finish line, while the Rally point give players opportunity to buy upgrades for their cars.

THE RALLY CARDS
Here is a twist! During your journey around the country you might land on squares where you must draw a Rally card. The Rally cards might be in your favour or they make you lose points.
Some of the cards are keepers, so you can keep them until later in the game and use them for your own advantage or to keep your opponents from winning!

Sometime the Rally cards can change the game dramatically in just one game turn!
